Known for her quirky prints and vivacious colour palette, Masaba Gupta is one of India’s most-loved designers. After a power-packed year in 2017 (she collaborated with Titan Raga, launched a lipstick line and made it to the Forbes 30 under 30 list), Masaba is all set to head into 2018 with full force, launching two new stores in Delhi and Hyderabad.
Located in the popular Ambience Mall in Gurugram, the Delhi store has a stark Mediterranean white palette, a well-thought out move to make the designer’s vibrant garments stand out. At the centre of the store sits a hot pink cow, an ode to Masaba’s kitsch pop aesthetic. “Delhi is one of my favourite cities and our biggest markets, so I am very happy to be back in the city. We’ve designed the store with a lot of love and we hope all our connoisseurs will enjoy the experience,” said the designer.
Sprawling across 4,000sqft, Masaba’s flagship store in Hyderabad is their largest concept store till date, and also features a cafe called Good Cow, which serves unique dishes like the ‘Masaba Chai’ and gourmet pizzas. Following a similar aesthetic as the Delhi store, the all-white interiors of the store are offset by quirky caricatures and behind-the-scene images from some of Masaba’s most famous shows.
