Did you miss out when ultimate Parisian brand Sézane opened a pop-up in London last year? Well dry your tears, because I have excellent news for you: the brand has just opened a PERMANENT store. Yep, the rumours were true.
No more splurging on a Eurostar ticket to visit the Paris store, no more disappointment when the item you want has sold out online. Now you can see the collections IRL, and experience a dose of French chic in the typically Parisian boutique in Notting Hill.
And it’s a bit of a return to her beginnings for Morgane Sézalory, who founded the label. She told us, ‘London is a big part of our history! The story started 14 years earlier, while my sister went to live in London leaving behind some go her vintages pieces. I decided to sell them and started the online adventure on eBay. Today I’m very grateful to open this shop in a neighbourhood that I particularly love. This London apartment has Sézane at the heart and we really want our customers to feel good there.’
You’ll be able to shop limited edition collections as well as homeware, and the brand’s new leather goods collection, which draws on its heritage (the faux croc Victor bag is on my wish-list).
Morgane explains, ‘Our fall season promises to be special, we have a new identity, a new bag collection to return to our roots and so many beautiful pieces with prints and pretty materials.’
And the good news is there’s simply no rush, as Sézane L’Appartement London is open permanently, every day, all year round, at 233 Westbourne Grove. Très bonne nouvelle indeed.
