Last year, lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret tapped French designer and Kardashian-favourite Olivier Rousteing of Balmain to create runway looks for its annual show—remember the shimmer-smothered bralettes that took over your Instagram feeds? This year, for its second high fashion collaboration, the label has teamed up with London-based, Greek-born designer Mary Katrantzou, who is also commonly known as the ‘queen of prints’. The Central Saint Martins graduate, who recently hit the 10-year milestone, has found quite the celebrity fan following for her dizzying prints, bold use of colours and structured silhouettes—the likes of Keira Knightley, Rihanna, Kerry Washington and Cate Blanchett have all been spotted in her creations till date.
With a little help from the Victoria’s Secret team (the show’s creative director Sophia Neophitou-Apostolou, executive producer Monica Mitro and the Angels all gave their inputs), Katrantzou has created a capsule collection of lingerie that will be revealed at the show in New York this November. While more details are awaited, the event will also feature 18 fresh faces, including Duckie Thot, Sadie Newman and Winnie Harlow. Stay tuned to this space for the updates.
The collection will be available online and in Victoria’s Secret stores
