We know Kate Middleton’s wedding to Prince William wasn’t exactly yesterday (it was in April 2011 obviously), but we’re still enjoying discovering titbits we missed the first time round, like when she broke royal protocol by changing this detail on the day.
Now we’ve been given a glimpse of her wedding shoes, a detail which we missed the first time round. Everyone was of course talking about her Sarah Burton-designed Alexander McQueen dress, but few actually saw which shoes she wore with it.
As you might expect, they were quite traditional, ivory duchesse satin pumps with lace hand-embroidered by the Royal School of Needlework, who also worked on the dress.
They were on show with Kate’s wedding attire at Buckingham Palace, and an image of them was shared on Twitter.
You can also have a proper look at Meghan Markle’s wedding dress, as part of the A Royal Wedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex: Windsor Castle exhibition, which also has a replica of Harry’s wedding uniform on show.
