In case you weren’t aware, the high street denim game is changing, big time. Last month, Topshop launched a new jean style called the editor and it’s already a best-seller. Now it’s made a change to one of its most popular styles, the Joni, and it’s all thanks to Twitter.
Customers have been taking to the social media platform to ask the brand to add belt hoops to the trousers, some even calling for a petition, and we get it. There’s nothing worse than jeans sliding down your bum even though they fit perfectly on your legs.
So Topshop listened, and from the beginning of April you’ll be able to get your hands on the brand new belted Joni, and wear it with whichever belt you like. In the campaign, the model teams hers with a faux snake skin belt and it looks lovely.
The jeans will be available in black and a mid blue wash, though we’re sure that if the style is popular enough (which it no doubt will be judging from Twitter’s reactions), they’ll bring it out in more shades too.
Belts have never been so in fashion, and we’ll be wearing ours with a pretty shell belt come summer.
