Coach's NYFW Video Has J Lo Singing Blondie and Megan Thee Stallion as Regina George – Need We Say More?

Coach, always the fun and innovative brand we know it to be, has released its fall 2021 collection for New York Fashion Week in the form of an 11-minute “runway” video. But this film, directed by Frances Frances and titled Coach Forever Season Two, is so much more than a typical show presentation. Designers have certainly taken advantage of the digital format this season, and Creative Director Stuart Vevers proves there is no limit to his creativity. While he tapped famous fashion photographer Juergen Teller to capture the models in his lookbook, the “Coach TV” video above invites the “showgoer” to first escape into a world of nostalgia, riffing on popular American television themes from the ’80s, ’90s, and early aughts.

“I wanted both the collection and the presentation to make sense and resonate in these unique times.”

We see Meghan Thee Stallion act as Regina George in a coordinated monogram sweat set, and in an exclusive video to POPSUGAR, Jennifer Lopez sings to Blondie’s “Call Me” in a telephone booth wearing a graphic tee underneath her Coach trench. If you think the celebrity appearances stop there, look out for Michael B. Jordan, Kaia Gerber, Paloma Elsesser, Kiko Mizuhara, Cole Sprouse, Xiao Wen Ju, Hari Nef, Binx Walton, Jon Batiste, Cordae, Rickey Thompson, Tavi Gevinson, Wisdom Kaye, Kim Gordon, Coco Gordon Moore, KJ Apa, Julia Nobis, HyunA, Dawn, Ma Zhe, and Bob the Drag Queen, all of whom also appear in the mini movie. “I have always loved exploring the intersection of fashion and pop culture at Coach. I am excited to bring my latest vision for the house to life via ‘Coach TV.’ I wanted both the collection and the presentation to make sense and resonate in these unique times and I am excited to share both in a way that I hope will entertain and inspire,” Vevers said in a statement.

Some of the aforementioned Coach family also model for the lookbook, which you can take in ahead. This season, Vevers has partnered with outerwear brand Schott NYC on his must-have jackets and coats that will take you through the season. His sweaters are printed with famous characters we all know and love (Kaia models a Mickey knit in blue and white with corduroy pants). Other creatures, such as elephants, kittens, puppies, birds, and owls, pop up on the clothes in the form of patches, pins, and quirky little accessories. You’ll love the fluffy shearling details on the monogram slides and sneakers, and you’ll never walk out of the house without layering again. Scroll through to take in the Coach Forever Season Two collection, which is shoppable now on Coach.com, and do so knowing that it comes with the house’s donation to Relief Opportunities for All Restaurants (ROAR), which supports restaurant workers in NYC facing challenges during the pandemic.
