This NYFW Show Aims to Reclaim the Question All Too Familiar For Sexual Assault Survivors

Civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, who penned her own rights into existence after her rape as a college student, wants to reclaim that very question as both a survivor and lover of fashion. Concept Korea is a fashion collective that has been spotlighting emerging Korean designers since 2010, and this Fashion Week the shows were extra buzzy as multiple K-pop celebrities made their NYFW debuts. The collective presented collections from three talented designers this season: Wnderkammer by designer Hye Young Shin, Ulkin by designer Lee Seong-dong, and Jarret by designer Lee Ji-yeon. Concept Korea smartly tapped three major singers to promote the collections: TXT's Yeonjun, WayV's YangYang, and solo artist Bibi. All three of the K-pop singers took part in the virtual presentations. Yeonjun and Bibi starred in Ulkin's show, while YangYang walked for Jarret. In the shows, Yeonjun and Bibi both dressed in all black, as Yeonjun wore a pinstripe trench coat and Bibi opted for a lea...
